Chinook expansion nearing end as mall prepares for 50-year milestone

A multimillion-dollar expansion at Chinook Centre could propel sales to a level reached by only a few shopping malls across the country and drive customer traffic there to about 17 million people on an annual basis. Chinook Centre, which marks its 50th anniversary Aug. 17, is on schedule for the grand opening of its 180,000-square-foot expansion on Sept.
